This year’s evening centers on two voices: a keynote speaker whose work helped shape the Medicare program, and one of our own volunteers — representing the people who make the helpline answer on the first ring.
Tricia Neuman, Sc.D.
Tricia Neuman, Sc.D.
Dr. Neuman is widely regarded as one of the nation's foremost experts on Medicare and health policy, serving as a leading public voice frequently cited in the media. She has published extensively and presented to a broad range of audiences on health coverage, care, and financing for an aging population, and has testified numerous times before Congressional committees on Medicare.

Eric Sollod
Eric first came to the Medicare Rights Center as a volunteer for another nonprofit. During a visit to the office, he learned about an upcoming Medicare helpline training workshop, and the rest is history.
He began volunteering at Medicare Rights while transitioning into self-employment as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, offering care management and personal financial planning services. His desire to learn about Medicare and share that knowledge with others has kept him counseling on the helpline for 17 years.
